| iPhones star in Israeli music video - CNET Posted: 21 Apr 2010 12:29 PM PDT Israel's Izabo: Shiri Hadar, Ran Shem-Tov, Nir Mantzur, and Jonathan Levy. (Credit: Labeleh Records)We may have just discovered Steve Jobs' new favorite band--Izabo, an Israeli indie rock/disco/punk group whose latest music video stars a bunch of iPhones. The video for the new song "On My Way" shows band members Ran Shem-Tov, Shiri Hadar, Jonathan Levy, and Nir Mantzur using iPhones to achieve cool visual effects. In some shots a band member holds up an iPhone displaying whimsical original artwork of an airplane or spaceship; in others, an iPhone plays video of the musicians engaged in ordinary tasks like shaving, applying lipstick, riding a motorcycle, or flipping a light switch. In all, about 17 2G, 3G, and 3GS iPhones star in the video, which ends with a coup de theatre--a huge mosaic of iPhone screens that together form a giant full video of the band. Director Shushu Spanier said he came up with the concept after playing around with his sister's iPhone. "I thought it would be nice to do a music video or commercial with iPhones since it had a relatively big screen and of course because it is one of the coolest things on earth." (Get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video here.) Izabo (pronounced Is-a-bow) has been around since pre-iPhone days, releasing its debut album "The Fun Makers" in 2003 to rave reviews in Israel and going on to release it in the U.K. and France. The band, which has toured in Europe and played in the U.S., blends high-to-ultra-high vocals, expressive Arab-influenced guitar, funky bass lines and intense disco beats, and likes to describe itself as an unlikely cross between Led Zeppelin, the Talking Heads, and Arab singer Om Kolthoum. The "On My Way" video took three days to shoot. On the last day, the band shot parts of its upcoming iPhone app, set for release with Izabo's next album. No word yet on who got to keep all those iPhones.

| Alicia Keys Teases 'Un-Thinkable' Music Video With Set ... - AceShowbiz Posted: 21 Apr 2010 12:12 AM PDT One of the images features the 'No One' singer rocking a 1950's-styled outfit for the 'Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)' video. Alicia Keys has shot visuals for a Drake-assisted single "Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)". On her Twitter, the R&B performer then posted two photos of her on set of the clip. One has her wearing black and white checkered top matched with white pants, and the other features her in black-colored outfit. The white costume, which she wore in the video directed by Jake Nava, is described by Alicia as "1950's" old-schooled style. "Unthinkable..this is so deep, wait until u witness the vibe !Super excited over here," she wrote on the micro-blogging site. The decision to release "Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)" as Alicia's next single has put on hold promotion for her Beyonce Knowles-featuring track "Put It in a Love Song". This includes delaying the premiere of its music video which was filmed in Brazil. Alicia previously told Rap-Up, "Expect it right after my 'Un-thinkable' video. It's kind of nice that I have such a great video and such a great artist in the can." She added, "They're going to be able to see the 'Un-thinkable' video first and then see 'Put It in a Love Song', but it probably won't come until closer to this summer."
